All Worker parameters can be configured locally in the Worker's qb.conf file. These parameters can be specified by either one of two ways:

  • From the QubeGUI under "Administration->Configure (local)…". This will modify the qb.conf for the user and then prompt the Worker service to restart automatically.
  • Manually modify the qb.conf directly and then restarting the Worker service

The following parameters are only settable locally on the Worker as they determine where the Qube installation is located, the hostname of the Supervisor, and the filtering field for network communication.
Parameters only settable in the local qb.conf:

  • qb_supervisor – the name or IP address of the Supervisor host (it will autodetect if the Supervisor is on the same subnet, though it is advisable to explicitly set the hostname).
  • qb_domain - the Qube domain both the Worker and Supervisor reside in that is used to filter communications (usually leaving it at the default value of "qube" is fine. Only needs to be changed if have more than 1 Qube Farm on the network)
  • qb_directory – the root of the Qube directory (only needs to be set if putting Qube in a non-standard location).
  • No labels
